1870 Morgan County, TN Census has Oscar living with his oldest brother Charles and his family. Oscar was 21 and listed as farm laborer.
1880 Morgan County, TN Census had Oscar married to Caroline 27 and children Albert 6, Frank 5, Henry D. 3, and Nora 1.
Delius, Oscar Peter - oldest resident of Oakdale, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 16 , about 2 o'clock after a lengthy illness. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, Septe mber 9, 1848, the son of German parents and had been a resident of Oakdale for many years where he was employed as a carpenter with the Southern Railway. Sur viving are two sons, Albert of Oakdale, and H.D. Delius of Knoxville; three d aughters, Mrs. J. S. Engert of Knoxville, Mrs. J.L. Smith of Akron, Ohio and Mr s. Wilson Lane of Yonkers, NY, besides a host of other relatives. Funeral serv ices were held at the Oakdale Baptist church last Wednews afternoon at 2 o'cloc k with Rev. Charles Taylor officiating, assisted by Rev. David Burris. Interme nt followed in the Crab Orchard cemetery. (Morgan county News 8-25-1938, Vol. 21 No. 21)
Delius, Betty Scott - wife of the late R.D. (Bud) Delius, died a t her home in fountain City last Friday, and was buried in a Knoxville cemetery . Mr.. Delius died a few weeks ago at his offices in the courthouse at Knoxvil le. They formerly lived in Wartburg. (Morgan County news 7-22-1937, Vol. 20 N o. 16)
Delius, Robert D. - Former Morgan Countian killed near Knoxville - Oa kdale ,Jan 27th - Robert D. Delius, 44 of Sevierville Pike near Knoxville, was shot to death Friday evening by W.H. Walker, 31 a neighbor. The shooting was c laimed to be the outgrowth of repeated arguments over the use of a party teleph one line. Three of Mrs. Delius' children, Bobby 15, Dora 14, and Earl 10, witn essed the shooting. Walker confessed the slaying and was arrested immediately and placed in jail where he awaits trial. Delius, Harry - age 70, passed away Saturday at his home in Fou ntain City, near Knoxville and was buried at Lafollette monday afternoon. Mr. Delius was a nephew of Mr. O.P. Delius of Oakdale, and formerly lived near Wart burg. (Morgan county news, 12-24-1936, vol. 19 No. 38)
Delius, Mary - short funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. David Burris a t the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Delius for their little daughter, may, born Tue sday night. Burial in Crab Orchard cemetery. (Morgan county news 1-19-1939 vo l. 21 No. 42)
